The second painting in my music series is „Zoé and the Cello“ . It portrays Zoé Karlikow, captured from a moment in the concert UNPAUSE Chambermusic #9 – “Bienvenue à Paris!”, performed by Zoé Karlikow (violoncello) and Pedro Aguiar (guitar).
This concert took place during the difficult Covid period, when performances were recorded without an audience. The reference for my painting comes from the live broadcast on YouTube.
The music is truly fantastic — a rare and beautifully balanced duet between cello and guitar. The cello carries the melody with a lyrical, sentimental voice, while the guitar frames it with warmth and precision. Both instruments merge into a single, flowing line of music. I love this performance deeply.
